Kyle Ashman, 23, was due to enter the villa on Monday for the ITV2 show's 12th series but was dropped after The Sun newspaper reported details of the violence in Stafford earlier this year.

Of those who were introduced, Ewan Ashman is plagued by line-out throwing issues; Ewan Johnson plies his trade in France's second tier with Oyonnax; and Marshall Sykes is not a guaranteed starter for struggling Edinburgh.

“He was a pretty low-key individual even though he was someone who had amazing stories to tell about Hollywood and other celebrities,” longtime friend Stuart Ashman said.

Ashman was one of those people — befriending the two-time Oscar winner nearly 30 years ago after the two ended up sitting next to each other at a community arts meeting.
