“The uncertainty, whether it’s on global trade volatility or on the ICE enforcement actions, it’s wild, and it’s deeply unsettling at an emotional, community, education, healthcare and, certainly, at a business level,” he said.

“The need is so large. There is not enough pro bono attorneys to go around,” said Jenny Viegas, community education manager for Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project Los Angeles, which provides free legal services for children at the West Los Angeles Immigration Court near LAX.

The current recovery center, at the Pasadena City College Community Education Center, will cease operations after Friday.
