After the dam collapse this past week, global prices for wheat and corn rose amid fears about Ukraine’s continued ability to grow food for Africa, the Middle East and parts of Asia.

The cost of corn rose more than 1%, to $6.04 a bushel, and oats gained 0.73%, to $3.46 per unit.

Chicago wheat futures jumped almost 6% on Monday and corn rose more than 2% as Russia's withdrawal from a Black Sea export agreement raised concerns over global supplies.

Chicago wheat futures on Monday jumped more than 5% and corn rose over 2%.

Corn rose 2.3% to $6.96-1/2 a bushel and soybeans added 1.1% to $14.15-1/4 a bushel.
