The force said cars were stolen and set on fire, motorbikes were being ridden erratically and bricks were thrown at officers, while wheelie bins and cars were used to block off the road.

A driver who chased and murdered a biker by deliberately ramming him with his car after seeing him do a wheelie has been jailed for life.

The topper, which also features a knitted wheelie bin and pizza boxes, was created by members of the Moseley Knit and Natter Group.

A report by investigators found that some of the artworks were stored in wheelie bins in the basement and were "not handled with care", according to local newspaper Algemeen Dagblad.

On the same day that the streets of Balsall Heath were being overwhelmed with rubbish, so much that it was hard in places to walk down the street, a few miles away in wealthy Harborne, wheelie bins stood neatly waiting for collection with no sign of any additional waste.
