The influential group, which went by Xero before Bennington joined its ranks, announced it was getting back together earlier this month, seven years after its lead singer’s death by suicide in 2017.

In a statement, the four surviving founders — who called their band Xero before Bennington joined and they renamed it Linkin Park — said they’d started hanging out in recent years in an attempt to “reconnect with the creativity and camaraderie” of their earliest days.

That prompted World Cup partner Xero to distribute 20,000 free tickets among the four New Zealand host cities.

On Thursday, the accounting firm Xero, a tournament partner, said it would offer 5,000 free tickets to a match at each of New Zealand’s four venues.

A letter in the fanzine Xero from 1963 expressed concern about "subtle racism," hierarchies within humanity, and "monochromatic" representation of elves and orcs in Middle-Earth.
