Announced last year, the new G3x chip is designed for Steam Deck-like or Switch-like handhelds, and it has an Adreno GPU capable of running the latest mobile games.

Image: Qualcomm Qualcomm’s also announcing a new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 today, suggesting to journalists that it’s aimed at gamers with a 20 percent graphics performance boost over the prior gen and the trickle-down of features like its “Adreno Frame Motion Engine” to make games see smoother by interpolating frames.

Alongside the top-of-the-line CPU could be a Qualcomm Adreno 730 graphics chip, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage.

In the US, all three of them will reportedly ship with Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, while Europe will likely get devices powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 2200 processor — notable for being the first smartphone chip with AMD graphics in over a decade, ever since Qualcomm bought AMD / ATI’s Imageon division and turned it into Qualcomm Adreno graphics.

As for what’s powering the devices, WinFuture notes that each tablet in Samsung’s new lineup may come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and the Adreno 730 GPU.
