At home, she has more than eight dogs, including Labradors, affenpinschers, and a pack of Norfolk terriers that she said are “named after patriots” such as Eisenhower, Sam Adams and Patrick Henry.

The competition drew more than 3,000 purebred dogs, ranging from affenpinschers to Yorkshire terriers.

Dogs from affenpinschers to Yorkshire terriers are rounding the rings at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show.

Last year’s competition concluded with Banana Joe, an affenpinscher, winning top honors.

The Roundabout Theatre Company said Banana Joe, the 5-year-old affenpinscher who emerged triumphant Tuesday at America's premier dog competition, will appear for one night only in "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" on Wednesday.
