I spoke with the hosts of MSNBC’s new Saturday and Sunday evening show, Antonia Hylton, Elise Jordan, Ayman Mohyeldin and Catherine Rampell, about their three-hour-long program’s planned mix of culture war, foreign policy, economic and political coverage.

Mariyah Ali and Antonia Listrat were cleared by a misconduct hearing last week, but said the possibility of expulsion had affected their studies and applications for postgraduate positions.

On Tuesday, the network announced that correspondent Antonia Hylton, who worked at NBC News and MSNBC, is joining the cable network full time and will co-host “The Weekend: Primetime” alongside Ayman Mohyeldin, Washington Post columnist Catherine Rampell and political analyst Elise Jordan.

“This has been a torture for us, an injustice,” said Antonia Cristina Barrios de Reyes, mother of Jerce Egbunik Reyes Barrios, 36, the former professional goalkeeper.
