Andy and Kim Ashplant on Saturday announced plans to retire and close Beeton's fish and chip shop in St Peter Port after nearly 25 years.

The law requires schools to create “privacy plans” for those who do not feel comfortable using group bathrooms, but Graham Beeton, 11, said such accommodations can be isolating.

Draped in an LGBTQ+ pride flag with rainbows painted on his cheeks, Beeton beckoned his classmates to a block party held just across the street from Bonneville Elementary School on Monday afternoon.

Jack Beeton was in a van driven by his uncle when it crashed with a lorry near Cambridge in October 2015, killing his uncle and leaving Mr Beeton with life-threatening injuries.

Upon finishing his job in July 2017, he wrote a public letter singling out the day when his crewmates saved Mr Beeton's life following the collision on the A10.
