The Greens now face blowback from the voters over choices made by their councillors, the biggest group on Bristol City Council - including dropped plans to collect black waste bins every four weeks.

Those customers put their waste in black, blue and green bins, which are emptied by city workers once a week.

Asking residents to leave their bins out as they normally would, it said it would collect them "asap" and apologised for what it called "the current situation".
