Two large public rooms on the first two floors had been enlarged with fashionable bow windows overlooking a garden.

They added the bow window in the front, which extended the dining area.

Several original features of the Avondale remain: the chestnut columns and wainscoting, the bow window with a window seat in the dining room and the H-shaped fireplace surround with its two-level mantel.

Can I keep the look of bow windows and still stop the drafts?

Q: We want to replace or reglaze our 1966 Colonial's three bow windows, which have single-pane glass puttied into wooden frames.
