Children's Day was created after being listed as one of the recommendations from the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry in 2017.

Children's Day is returning to Howard Davis Park in Jersey with live music, games, food and drinks.

The first Children's Day was held in 2020 with tree planting but then had to be paused because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The hour-long operation disrupted a children’s day camp and left health care outreach workers in fear when troops demanded they leave at gunpoint.

While referencing International Missing Children's Day on 25 May in their statement, the family said it continues to "remember all missing children and their families, both here in the UK and abroad".
