Edison has been under scrutiny since Jan. 7, when videos captured the devastating Eaton wildfire igniting under one of its transmission towers.

One endeavor, the Eaton Fire Chimney Project from the photographer behind @houseofhollywood on Instagram, offers free digital photos of the remains of affected properties as a means of capturing the homes in their final state before those sites are cleared.

The plan to open a site to process Eaton fire debris near foothill communities has prompted swift backlash from San Gabriel Valley residents and leaders.

But the hauling and dumping operation has led to a dramatic fallout between county officials and Tujunga residents and is another example of a community fearful of accepting debris related to the Eaton and Palisades fires.

The book was published on Jan. 14, in the immediate aftermath of the Palisades and Eaton fires.
