There has been a market in Epsom, Surrey, for centuries - but it is only in recent years that traders have seen the majority of shoppers switch to electronic payments.

Epsom and Ewell Borough Council has opened a public consultation on the project, which aims to improve mental and emotional wellbeing.

Diane from Epsom, who has two children and other caring responsibilities, told BBC Radio Surrey she is dreading 'awful April.'

“Trevor called the race like it was the Epsom Derby,” Balch remembered.

Glyn School in Ewell, Merstham Park in Redhill and Rosebery School in Epsom are to take part in the pilot.
