James Forrester, who lives in the battleground Calgary Centre district, told the BBC he had traditionally voted Conservative but has leaned left in recent years.

“We’d likely see a renaissance of social media startups looking to grab a piece of the new social media world order,” said Mike Proulx, vice president and research director at Forrester, a research and advisory firm based in Massachusetts, in a statement.

"As a company with lucrative margins on its devices, Apple can absorb some of the tariff-induced cost increases without significant financial impact, at least in the short term," says Forrester principal analyst Dipanjan Chatterjee.

"Many companies have tried live shopping but it simply doesn't scale," says Sucharita Kodali, retail analyst at Forrester Research.
