There is a Gibeon iron meteorite that fell to earth in Namibia.

Kevin Sivula and his colleagues at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne studied pieces of the Namibian Gibeon meteorite, which was identified in the nineteenth century.

Gibeon, a 11-1 shot, just held off the fast finish of 4-1 favourite Keble by a neck.

Three-time Champion jockey Richard Hughes won his first race of the festival, on Gibeon in the Land Rover Stakes.

Gibeon told police he attacked Stepien with a whiskey bottle and stomped on her head early April 17, and later wrapped her body in a deflated water bed.
