With yearlong programming and two annual book prizes of its own, Cave Canem’s mission is best exemplified by those two weeks a year spent at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, Pa., where the retreat has been based since 2003.

The filing says union-busting tactics occurred the past six months at three facilities: Hyundai’s Montgomery, Alabama, plant, Honda’s Greensburg, Indiana, facility and Volkswagen’s Chattanooga, Tennessee, factory.

Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards released a statement about the shooting, noting that the Greensburg community is “close to my home and my heart” having represented the area for eight years while in the state legislature.

The names and ages of the victims of the shooting at St. Helena College & Career Academy in Greensburg have not been released.

It was a bit of a homecoming for Frelick as his father Jeff’s – a former Pitt fullback — side of the family is from nearby Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
