(in theVolsunga Saga ) the father of Fafnir, Otter, and Regin. He demanded wergild from the gods for killing Otter, and was killed by Fafnir when he got it.

Hreidmar took the gold as ransom for his son, but Fafnir and Regin demanded some of it as a ransom for their brother.
