The Kairos Futura team are also drawing inspiration from nature to use their imagination in how to address urgent environmental issues.

But an art collective - Kairos Futura – has been trying to take what might seem like some of the city’s more dystopian elements and create a vision of a utopia, or at least how that might be achieved.

Earlier this week, Google announced its partnership with California-based Kairos Power, in which Google plans to buy power produced from small nuclear reactors built by Kairos.

The company says the agreement with Kairos Power will see it start using the first reactor this decade and bring more online by 2035.

Their novel Kairos follows the destructive love affair between a 19-year-old student and a married man in his 50s who meet on a bus in East Berlin around 1986.
