Mr Dunn died as a result of injuries suffered when his Kawasaki motorcycle was hit by Sacoolas's car outside RAF Croughton in Northamptonshire on 27 August 2019.

Few people in the area were immune to the fires: Ross Gerber, a climate activist, early Tesla investor and CEO of Gerber Kawasaki Wealth & Investment Management, was only able to return to his Pacific Palisades home in early March.

Gerber, president and CEO of Gerber Kawasaki Wealth & Investment Management, sold $60 million of Tesla shares last year and owned approximately 262,000 shares at the end of 2024.
