The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the 15-year-old's body was recovered from the lake in Beckenham Place Park in Lewisham at about 22:40 BST on Friday.

Abdullahi Ibrahim, 21, of Acacia Close in Lewisham, London, pleaded guilty to assisting an offender at a hearing last April and is also due to be sentenced at the same hearing.

PCs Danielle Barnes and Elizabeth McAleenan were accused of having failed to ensure the welfare of a member of the public after Kevin Clarke, who had paranoid schizophrenia, died at Lewisham Hospital in 2018.
