During sentencing at Warwick Crown Court on Monday, Spencer, from Newbold on Stour, Warwickshire, was told he would serve his two years in a youth offenders institution.

Spencer, from Newbold on Stour, pleaded guilty at Warwick Crown Court to death by careless driving and three counts of causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving.

The boys, aged 12 to 14, were held after reports of an incident at Newbold in Rochdale on Saturday, Greater Manchester Police said.

Terrance Bethel, her 28-year-old alleged lover, and co-conspirator Faron Newbold, 29, also appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley.

Police had been searching the water and land around Newbold Quarry since Toby's disappearance more than six weeks ago.
