Overnight attacks were also reported in Russia's western Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol and Smolensk regions.

The Russian Defense Ministry said seven drones were shot down over the Kursk region and three over Oryol, both of which are to the north of Belgorod.

Oryol region Gov. Andrei Klychkov said energy infrastructure was hit in two communities.

Additional drone incidents were reported in the Kaluga, Oryol, Rostov and Kursk regions.

Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defenses shot down four Ukrainian drones over the Oryol region of western Russia early Wednesday.
