Flick has asked the club for very little so far, paying money for just Dani Olmo and Pau Victor in the summer and adding no-one in the winter transfer window.

With young players including Lamine Yamal, Pedri and Pau Cubarsi enjoying stellar campaigns, the Blaugrana look well equipped to fight on all fronts for years to come.

"Lamine, they put him in La Masia. Why? Because with the coaches there was someone who could model his way," explains former La Masia coach Pau Moral, who says Yamal "had not had an easy environment".
