In an era where high-profile players have campaigned for more prize money and a greater share of sponsor revenue, tennis has begun to demonstrate an increased willingness to work with gambling sponsors.

A significant portion of that prize money will go to teams just for showing up, with the amount differing by confederation.

But although the Grand Slams now offer equal prize money for men and women, there is disparity elsewhere.

Evaristo said she would put the prize money into a project to support other women writers, and will give more details in the autumn.

"We're focused on strengthening the sport by building a more premium product - one that creates more prize money, and more opportunities for players," a statement to BBC Sport read.
