The heartbroken family of murdered schoolboy Daniel Anjorin have spoken after his killer was ordered to serve at least 38 years in prison.

A man has been jailed for life after being convicted of murdering a 14-year-old schoolboy with a samurai sword in east London.

Two men have been sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering an Aboriginal schoolboy, in a case that shocked Australia.

Paying tribute to Daniel Anjorin's family, the officer said he had only got upset in the hospital, when he had discovered the schoolboy had died.

An ambulance arrived to try to treat the schoolboy but Monzo attacked the vehicle with his sword, causing the paramedics - who described it as "extremely frightening" - to retreat.
