"The short term impacts are we can see things happening so much earlier in the year – things are happening 10 or 15 days earlier than we would have expected even only 20 years ago," he said.

But she says some organisations see things differently, and value leaders who are "real, self-aware, and able to navigate complexity, including their own emotions".

But the public did not necessarily see things the same way.

Even so, it wasn’t hard to find journalists in the region who see things differently.
