The union has claimed the underground is badly understaffed, an accusation SPT has rejected.

The union has had a continuous overtime ban in place since 13 June and an interim offer by SPT was "overwhelmingly rejected" by its members.

BBC Scotland News has asked SPT for comment.

At a press conference outside the All Saints Church in Notting Hill on Wednesday morning, Spt Owen Renowden from the Met Police said: "My priority remains with the mother's welfare and health. We are really worried about her wellbeing as she will have recently given birth."

“In light of CBS’s continuous failure to live up to its contractual obligations, SPT believes it has lawfully terminated the distribution agreements with CBS for the shows and accordingly assumed all global distribution functions,” the company said in a statement.
