"This innovative pressure release valve opens automatically when critical pressure is reached, emitting a clearly audible warning signal," explains Dr Falk Tauber, co-author and project manager.

"The potential applications of these modules are enormous. We have developed a flexible 3D-printed robotic walker that is controlled by an integrated circuit using air pressure. The flexibility of the logic modules is demonstrated by the fact that this walker can even withstand the load of a car driving over it," says Tauber.

“We’re willing to accept remediation of the harm, but we’re not prepared to accept accountability of the culpable,” said Alan J. Tauber, a Philadelphia defense lawyer who has helped free three men from prison after wrongful convictions.

Tauber, who served as the city’s top public defender, said the statement shows “the values that our system is founded on have been turned on their head.”

"We expected to see a more gradual loss of responses and information," Tauber said.
