The coroner has written to Trinity House, the National Trust and Natural England to try and establish who owns the shipwreck and who is responsible for any warning signs.

Trinity House, which manages more than 60 lighthouses across the UK, said there was an issue with the "audible hazard warning signal" on Longships.

Since then it has been monitored and controlled from Trinity House's planning centre in Harwich, Essex.

Under the new Trinity House Agreement, Rheinmetall will build a new factory in the UK to produce barrels for artillery guns – something the UK stopped doing more than a decade ago.

The Trinity House Agreement also includes a commitment to develop a new long-range missile, which the MOD says will be more precise and can be fired further than any current systems – the UK’s Storm Shadow and Germany’s Taurus.
